Invicta Russian Diver Watches
Updated 25 Apr 2009 by Editor, RussianWatchGuide.com See also, Zlatoust Vodolaz Diver Invicta is not a Russian watch company. They are Swiss. So why are they making Russian diver watches? The answer is that Invicta has a history of making diver watches for the Russian navy. Take the Invicta Russian Diver Watch, Model 2625, for example. This a new watch that replicates a design Invicta originally made in 1959 when the watch was commissioned for the Russian Naval Fleet. Roughly 100 pieces were made by Invicta for elite divers in the Russian Navy. So although Invicta Russian Diver Watches are not Russian-made, they do have a legitimate tie to Russian naval history. Invicta sells a number of watches in their Russian Diver line. These are huge watches designed to be worn over a diver suit, with cases measuring over 50 mm in diameter. All feature large numerals and hands for better legibility under water and in the dark, and crowns protected by a large screwdown cap for water resistance. Invicta Russian Diver Watches retail for $350 to $2000. Source: Invicta website $articleid=108; new comments($_SERVER['PHP_SELF'],$articleid); ?> |
