The Rekord Watch-Making Company Ltd. originated in 1993.
Rekord "Standard" mechanical watches sell for as little as $28. Rekord "Premium" mechanical watches, including "Premium Skeleton" watches, generally cost between $350 and $1000. Rekord "Premium Tourbillon" watches cost upwards of $4000. In 2006 the company began selling watches under the Soyuz brand (www.soyuz-watch.com). I found out that the "RP" calibers that they use are very likely manufactured by the Chinese firm of Tianjin Seagull. I have a Raketa standard model. I think it just has some generic Chinese movement. But it was cheap, works fine, and I like it. does anyone have info on the 'RP' series of movements in their watches? These watches are over-priced, and usually use China-made movements of the very poor quality. |
